Ooltewah Owls Varsity Defeats Walker Valley Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning

Walker Valley scored three runs in the third inning, but Ooltewah Owls Varsity still won 14-3 on Wednesday. Walker Valley’s big inning was driven by a error and a single by Swafford.

Trevor Wiggs earned the win for Ooltewah Owls Varsity. He tossed five innings, surrendering three runs, and four hits. Hailey took the loss for Walker Valley. He threw one and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs, four hits, and striking out one.
Ooltewah Owls Varsity had ten hits in the game. Austin Spurgeon, Bryce Matthews, and Jake Sullivan each collected multiple hits for Ooltewah Owls Varsity. Sullivan, Matthews, and Spurgeon each managed two hits to lead Ooltewah Owls Varsity. Ooltewah Owls Varsity tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Jake Morrow led the way with two.
