Multiple Teams · Baseball, Track head across the river to Soddy Daisy

It’s finally opening day on the diamond for the Ooltewah Owls’ baseball program. After a rain riddled preseason, the Owls will head to Soddy Daisy tonight for the away half of their series with district opponent Soddy Daisy. The Owls will try to squeeze tomorrow’s contest in at home versus the Trojans despite the gloomy forecast. Both games scheduled to begin at 7 pm.

The Owls’ track team will also be heading to Soddy Daisy tonight for a meet that was originally scheduled for Tuesday. The rain has inclined the hosting Trojans to move the meet up to the one day this week forecasted for no inclement weather. The Owls had a strong showing at the Walker Valley All-Comers jamboree this past Saturday and look to improve upon the good start tonight at Soddy Daisy. Field events are scheduled to start at 4 pm.
