Game One – Seqoyah

Ooltewah Owl Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-2 loss to Sequoyah on Saturday. Sequoyah scored on a triple by Abbey Borden and a groundout by Brooke Freeman in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Sequoyah pitchers struck out one, while Ooltewah Owl Varsity sat down three.

Sequoyah got on the board in the first inning when Borden tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Kadence Brewer was the winning pitcher for Sequoyah. The fireballer allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, walking zero.

Annalee Moore took the loss for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. The righty surrendered three runs on four hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

Maddie Atkins started the game for Sequoyah. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out one and walking zero

Kaylee Wilson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Ooltewah Owl Varsity in hits.

Lillian Griffitts led Sequoyah with two hits in two at bats. Sequoyah didn’t commit a single error in the field. Borden had five chances in the field, the most on the team.

Game Two – Greenback

Ooltewah Owl Varsity won big over Greenback 10-4 on Saturday.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when Kaylee Wilson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity put up four runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower by Ooltewah Owl Varsity was led by Wilson, Annalee Moore, and Alyssa White, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Zoe Cates got the start for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. The righthander surrendered four runs on five hits over five innings, striking out four.

Hailee Stevens started the game for Greenback. The pitcher allowed ten hits and ten runs over four innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity smacked one home run on the day. White had a dinger in the second inning.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity tallied ten hits in the game. Jaycee Holt, Cates, White, and Alexis Poling all managed multiple hits for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. Poling, White, Cates, and Holt each collected two hits to lead Ooltewah Owl Varsity. Ooltewah Owl Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Moore had six chances in the field, the most on the team.

Greenback racked up five hits in the game. Brooklynn Jones and Katie Jones all managed multiple hits for Greenback.

Game Three – Sale Creek

Ooltewah Owl Varsity grabbed an early lead on its way to an 8-1 victory over Sale Creek on Saturday. Ooltewah Owl Varsity scored on a single by Kaylee Wilson, a home run by Alyssa White, and a single by Brooklynn Smith in the first inning.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity secured the victory thanks to five runs in the first inning. Wilson, White, and Smith each had RBIs in the frame.

Annalee Moore was in the circle for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. The righty surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Shelby Sullivan led things off on the rubber for Sale Creek. The pitcher went four innings, allowing eight runs on 12 hits.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity tallied one home run on the day. White put one out in the first inning.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity racked up 12 hits on the day. Wilson, White, and Alex Haynes each managed multiple hits for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. Wilson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Ooltewah Owl Varsity in hits.

Sale Creek didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sullivan had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Game Four – Sweetwater

Ooltewah Owl Varsity lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat to Sweetwater on Saturday. The game was tied at five with Sweetwater batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jenna Gibson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity lost despite out-hitting Sweetwater nine to eight.

In the first inning, Ooltewah Owl Varsity got their offense started. Alyssa White doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Kylie Hicks led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Sweetwater. Hicks allowed nine hits and five runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one.

Annalee Moore was in the circle for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. The pitcher allowed eight hits and six runs over five innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Ooltewah Owl Varsity racked up nine hits. White and Jaycee Holt all managed multiple hits for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. White went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Ooltewah Owl Varsity in hits.

Sweetwater saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Gibson and Hicks each collected multiple hits for Sweetwater.
