Ooltewah Owl Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-0 loss to Soddy Daisy on Tuesday. Soddy Daisy took the lead on a double in the first inning.
The Ooltewah Owl Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Soddy Daisy, giving up ten runs. Soddy Daisy fired up the offense in the first inning, when Smith doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. A single by Alyssa White in the second inning was a positive for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. Lloyd earned the victory on the rubber for Soddy Daisy. Lloyd went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out 11 and walking zero. Annalee Moore took the loss for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. The righthander went four innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits and striking out one. White and Brooklynn Smith all had one hit to lead Ooltewah Owl Varsity. Soddy Daisy tallied nine hits in the game. Smith, E Sneed, and Sims all collected multiple hits for Soddy Daisy. Smith went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Soddy Daisy in hits. Soddy Daisy didn’t commit a single error in the field. Baron had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
