The Ooltewah Owls cruised to an easy victory over McMinn County 8-2 on Monday. The Owls opened up scoring in the first inning. A sacrifice bunt by Kaylee Wilson scored one run for Ooltewah.
Ooltewah tallied three runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to a sac fly by Annalee Moore and a double by Alyssa White. Moore earned the win for Owls. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and striking out ten. Reagan Wade was on the rubber for McMinn County. The pitcher went six innings, allowing eight runs on 15 hits, striking out four and walking zero. The Lady Owls saw the ball well today, racking up 15 hits in the game. Jaycee Holt, White, Faith O’Donnell, Alexis Poling, and Wilson each collected multiple hits for Ooltewah Owl Varsity. O’Donnell, White, and Holt each collected three hits to lead Ooltewah. McMinn County racked up seven hits in the game. Sammie Greeson and Sadie Brazzell all had multiple hits for McMinn County.
