Ooltewah Owls Varsity ran off with the lead late in the game in a 9-2 victory over East Hamilton on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Ooltewah Owls Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Cheyanne Sales doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

Ooltewah Owls Varsity secured the victory thanks to six runs in the sixth inning. Aubrey Smith, Jaycee Holt, Lexi Vogel, Madalyn Mills, and Makala Strickland each had RBIs in the big inning.

Ooltewah Owls Varsity got things started in the first inning. Willouhgby threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Ooltewah Owls Varsity.

East Hamilton knotted the game up at one in the top of the fourth inning. An error scored one run for East Hamilton.

Ooltewah Owls Varsity notched six runs in the sixth inning. Smith, Holt, Vogel, Mills, and Strickland each had RBIs in the frame.

Mackenzie Patterson took the win for Ooltewah Owls Varsity. She went seven innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out eight.

Willouhgby took the loss for East Hamilton. She allowed eight hits and eight runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Ooltewah Owls Varsity racked up nine hits on the day. Addy Keylon, Sales, and Vogel each racked up multiple hits for Ooltewah Owls Varsity. Vogel, Sales, and Keylon each collected two hits to lead Ooltewah Owls Varsity.

Rogers led East Hamilton with two hits in four at bats.
